Chatuchak- Bangkok

The largest market in Thailand and one of the largest in Asia, crowded and noisy, Chatuchak Market has over 7500 stalls, selling everything imaginable. Be prepared to bargain and negotiate for the best prices.

Cevahir-Istanbul, Turkey

One of the largest and most uniquely designed shopping malls on the planet, Cevahir Mall has 6 levels with 200 shops, parking for over 2500 cars and an indoor amusement park.

Camden Town-London UK

This colourful district full of tattoo parlours, arts and crafts, antiques and vintage clothing is a great place to people watch. Some of the most ecletic shops and characters in London can be found in this bohemian district. Travelers seeking an interesting few hours on the weekend will enjoy a visit to Camden.

Get here early. Travelers looking for a unique experience in Tokyo could do worse than a pre-dawn visit to the world's largest seafood market. Check out the early morning tuna auctions and breakfest on the freshest sushi in the world.

Mall of America-Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN

Almost more of an amusement park than a shopping mall, this sprawling suburban Minneapolis shopping centre features a number of great family related activities. Besides having over 500 stores and over 50 restaurants, this entertainment complex has everything from indoor batting cages to mazes to roller coasters.

Luxury and upscale elegance epitomize this Swiss shopping district, located in the central core of Zurich. There are 2 kilometres of exclusive boutiques, watch shops, jewellers and cafes here, many of them among of the most expensive in the world.

Pike Place Market-Seattle

Shouting fishmongers mingle with bakeries, a farmer's market and everything fresh that you can imagine. The world's first Starbucks is located here, and visitors to Seattle will enjoy the ambience here that epitomizes the spirit of Seattle.

West Edmonton Mall-Edmonton

The pride of Alberta, and once the largest shopping mall in the world, the West Edmonton Mall features a gigantic indoor waterpark, a gun range and several nearby hotels. Of course, being in Canada, the mall also has a public icerink, called IcePalace-a scaled down version of an NHL hockey rink.

Friday Market (Souk el Gomaa)-Cairo

A modern example of the traditional Middle Eastern bazaar, the Souk el-Gomaa (Friday Market), located near the City of the Dead in Cairo. Travelers looking for an unforgettable experience should spend a few hours strolling through this crowded and bustling market. Anything and everything is sold here-from cheap knock off antiques, hand woven rugs and furniture to animals (including snakes) to computers.

Union Square- New York

This historic square is a foodies dream, where artisans and chefs sell everything from local cheeses and jams to fresh meats and fish. Besides being a fun place to go for a stroll to experience the sights and smells, there is a fantastic selection restaurants and cafes nearby.




Rodeo Drive-Los Angeles

Rodeo Drive is a surprisly small and very swank district in the Beverly Hills section of Los Angeles. Hollywood stars and the rich and famous can often be seen here, along with gaggles of photograph snapping tourists. Those without platinum credit cards will still enjoy window shopping and celebrity spotting.

This mega mall  is an over the top complex featuring a massive aquarium, an indoor zoo, waterfalls and an ice rink.  Recently announced expansion plans will once again make Dubai Mall the largest in the world. Ever wanted to take a taxi inside a mall? This is your place.
